A short profile about Dr. Stefan Kindt

Dr. Stefan Kindt has held the position of executive chairman of telent GmbH since 1 November 2008 and has headed up the advisory board since January 2008. His responsibilities include sales & marketing as well as corporate planning and communication.

From 2006 to 2007, Dr. Stefan Kindt assumed control of Ericsson Germany and during this period of time carried out the integration of the acquired Marconi GmbH. 

As Managing Director and Chairman of the Board at Marconi Germany from 2003 to 2005, he successfully increased the company's turnover by more than 400 million Euros. Prior to this, between 2000 and 2003, Dr. Stefan Kindt was Head of Business Development for the key technology “Optical Networks” at Marconi plc in Great Britain.

He studied Physics at the Free University in Berlin and at University College in London. Following this he gained a Phd in Science and worked for Siemens AG between 1984 and 2000. There, he began working in Research & Development and held several positions in the areas of product plannning, technical sales and finally as “President of Global Sales in the Optical Networks Division.”

Dr. Stefan Kindt is married and has 3 grown-up children.
