Backnang, 6 October 2026 – Operators of critical infrastructure must protect their operational technology from cyber-attacks whilst ensuring the availability of their systems. telent will be demonstrating how these two objectives can be combined at it-sa in Nuremberg from 27 to 29 October. At stand 6-318 in Hall 6, the vendor-neutral system integrator will present approaches to network segmentation, plant and vulnerability management, and the centralised logging of security events.

A key focus of the exhibition presence is telent’s Managed Security Services and Managed Security Operations Centre (SOC). These help organisations analyse security incidents, detect threats and respond to attacks. This also includes measures for immediate damage control. The offering is aimed in particular at operators of critical infrastructure, energy suppliers and manufacturing companies that lack their own specialists in IT and OT security.

Many OT systems remain in use for decades. At the same time, companies are increasingly connecting their facilities to IT systems and cloud services. Attackers can use AI to detect vulnerabilities more quickly and prepare their attacks. Security measures must therefore be tailored to the specific facility and take the requirements of ongoing operations into account. “Many companies do not have all the in-house specialists they need to protect their OT systems and respond quickly to attacks. With our Managed SOC, we help them to detect threats and react swiftly,” says Ralph Keil, Head of Sales at telent.

The Managed SOC offers a further unique feature, as it combines specialist expertise for mixed OT and IT environments from telent and its partners Fortinet and Tenable. telent works closely with these partners on solutions for detecting and handling security incidents. telent is also represented alongside its partner Tenable at stand 248 in Hall 7.

Another topic at the stand is InDEx. telent’s data gateway enables secure data transmission for sensitive areas.

In Knowledge Forum A in Hall 6, Daniel Weber, Senior Manager Security Solutions at telent, will speak on Tuesday, 27 October 2026, from 3.15 pm to 3.30 pm in the session “Hands off? OT security during ongoing operations”, sharing his practical experience on how companies can implement OT security without jeopardising ongoing operations.
