PMRExpo 2025: telent showcases OT security, interoperability, and new system solution for BOS radio

Backnang, November 12, 2025 – At PMRExpo 2025, telent GmbH will present solutions for secure and networked communications infrastructures. The focus is on OT cybersecurity, interoperable networks for migration from narrowband to broadband, and radio solutions for seamless property coverage. One highlight is the new compact system solution, which bundles radio services in buildings and tunnels in a confined space for the first time.

Seamless object radio coverage
Modern radio-over-fiber technologies and a new compact solution ensure reliable radio coverage in buildings and tunnels. “Our new development requires only a fraction of the space of conventional control cabinets, consumes significantly less energy, and can be quickly installed in existing infrastructures. This is truly a paradigm shift that has already proven successful in an initial project,” says Thorsten Altemöller, Account Director Industry & Public Safety at telent.
The architecture integrates all relevant radio services – from FM/DAB+ broadcasting to TETRA/DMR systems and other private mobile radio services – in a very small space and enables continuous communication even with demanding BOS requirements as well as in industrial plants, logistics centers, and large building complexes.

Interoperable networks
The transition from narrowband to broadband is one of the key issues for the future of critical communications. telent focuses on soft migration concepts that enable operators to gradually link their TETRA and DMR systems with 5G technologies without jeopardizing existing investments. As a manufacturer-independent integrator, telent connects voice groups across different platforms, ensuring seamless communication. Network solutions from Nokia and clock synchronization systems from Adtran ensure stable interoperability.

OT and cybersecurity
With a clear focus on OT security, telent shows how critical infrastructures and industrial manufacturing processes can be reliably protected against digital threats. The portfolio includes solutions for preventive and operational monitoring of entire process chains – from simple data locks to vulnerability analyses to 24/7 monitoring in a Security Operation Center (SOC). In addition, telent offers security and network solutions for civil-military cooperation that are specifically designed to protect sensitive communication and control systems.

Involvement in the association and outlook for the trade fair
As a member of the board of PMeV – Netzwerk sichere Kommunikation e.V., which organizes PMRExpo, telent actively contributes the perspective of a technology integrator to the industry's work. "PMRExpo is and remains the leading trade fair for secure communications. It is growing again this year, with more exhibitors and an increasingly international profile. It is important for us to actively shape this development within the association and to contribute the perspective of a technology integrator," says Altemöller.

The telent booth will be complemented by co-exhibitors AIRadio and Safemobile.
